Begin your full-day North Vietnam tour promptly at 07:15 – 07:45. You’ll be transferred from Hanoi to Ninh Binh via the expressway, spanning over 100 km. Enjoy the tranquil countryside scenery along the way.

Your first stop is Hoa Lu Old Capital, Vietnam’s ancient capital dating back a thousand years. Dive into Vietnamese history as you explore this historic city adorned with intricate carvings and stunning artwork, showcasing the craftsmanship of Vietnamese artisans from centuries past.

Afternoon

Embark on a 1.5-hour boat journey through Tam Coc, where local rowers navigate the serene waters amidst hundreds of breathtaking karst mountains. Capture the picturesque landscapes of mountains, rice fields, and temples along the Ngo Dong River. During harvest season, witness the golden rice fields that carpet the riverbanks, adding to the scenic beauty.

After concluding today’s tour, return to Hanoi from Ninh Binh.

On your second day of travel, embark on a city tour of Hanoi and immerse yourself in its rich history. Explore the ancient capital’s serene atmosphere and visit these iconic sites:

Begin at the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, where aristocrats, mandarins, and scholars once studied.

Next, visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the resting place of Vietnam’s revered founding father. Note that from June to August, visits are limited to viewing the mausoleum from the outside.

Continue to the One Pillar Pagoda, renowned for its unique lotus-shaped architecture.

Take a break at West Lake and Tran Quoc Pagoda, Hanoi’s oldest Buddhist pagoda with over 1,500 years of history. Marvel at its ancient Ly dynasty architecture and serene surroundings.

Enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch at an authentic restaurant.

Evening

Relax and freshen up before heading to the railway station for your overnight journey to Lao Cai. Our driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the station.

Board the overnight train to Lao Cai, where you’ll stay in a communal sleeping cabin, sharing with other passengers in compartments with 2 lower and 2 upper berths. The train departs around 22:00, offering a unique experience of overnight travel through the northern landscapes of Vietnam.

Upon Arrival in Sapa

Upon arrival at Lao Cai Station (approximately 4:30 – 5:00 AM), our bus driver will transfer you to the charming town of Sapa, a must-visit destination in North Vietnam. Early check-in before 14:00 is available upon room availability, subject to a surcharge.

Take some time to relax before embarking on an exciting trekking adventure in Lao Cai led by our local tour guide. The trekking route includes:

• Y Linh Ho: A picturesque hamlet nestled alongside the scenic Muong Hoa River.
• Lao Chai: Home to the Black Hmong ethnic community, renowned for their distinctive indigo blue clothing and rich cultural heritage.

After a satisfying lunch, delve deeper into the local culture before heading to Ta Van Village, inhabited by the Zay ethnic group. Marvel at the traditional houses nestled amidst stunning terraced fields.

Return to Sapa town in the evening and settle into your hotel for the night.

NOTE: The trekking route covers approximately 13 km downhill and is considered easy level.

Start your day early with breakfast at your hotel. At approximately 09:00, we will embark on a journey to Cat Cat Village, walking along the South-West trail. Explore the village and relax by the majestic waterfall, where remnants of a historic French-built hydroelectric power plant stand as a testament to Vietnam’s colonial era.

After the morning tour, enjoy a picnic lunch along the river, immersing yourself in the tranquility of nature.

Afternoon

Continue your adventure with a hike to Sin Chai village, nestled at the base of Fansipan Mountain, also known as “the Roof of Indochina”. Take in the awe-inspiring panoramic views of the mountainous landscape.

Following the tour, return to the main road for pick-up between 14:30 and 15:00. You will be driven back to Sapa town and subsequently transferred to Hanoi, arriving around 21:30. Take this opportunity to relax and prepare for your journey to Halong Bay the following day.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel around 08:00 – 08:30 before departing for the renowned Northern destination of Halong Bay.

Check-in on the cruise begins between 11:30 – 12:00. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by friendly crew members with a refreshing welcome drink. Indulge in a sumptuous lunch featuring seafood prepared by skilled chefs, all while marveling at the stunning emerald waters and myriad limestone islands that adorn Halong Bay.

Afternoon

Engage in various activities during the afternoon, such as exploring caves in Halong Bay, kayaking through scenic waters, or swimming at a picturesque beach (activities subject to trip schedule).

Return to the cruise for relaxation and dinner. Enjoy onboard entertainment options such as squid fishing, card games, or watching movies, depending on the facilities available on your cruise.

Morning

Begin your second day in Halong Bay with an invigorating Tai Chi lesson in the early morning before breakfast. (Please check with our sales consultant for specific details as activities may vary by cruise.)

Following the Tai Chi session, the boat will take you to explore one of the captivating caves on the itinerary, such as Trung Trang Cave, Sung Sot Cave, Dark & Bright Cave, among others.

After exploring the cave, check out and head to the restaurant for brunch served as you cruise back to the main port. Around 11:30, disembark from the cruise and transfer back to Hanoi.
