In the morning, visit Vat Xiengthong, the most photographed temple nestled at the tip of a peninsula near the confluence of the Mekong and Khan Rivers. Proceed to the former Royal Palace, now transformed into the National Museum. Explore Wat Mai, a temple renowned for its intricate golden bas-reliefs. During Pimai, the Lao New Year, the sacred Prabang, usually housed in the Royal Palace Museum, is displayed to the public in this temple.

Later in the day, journey through lush rice paddies and verdant farms before reaching the enchanting Kuang Si waterfalls.
