Upon reaching the destination, immerse yourself in the enchanting beauty of the three-tiered waterfall. Spend 2 hours exploring the cascades as they gracefully flow into tranquil turquoise pools, surrounded by lush orchids. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the bear rescue center for a unique experience.
Afterward, return to Luang Prabang, with a stop at Ban Na Uan, a Hmong village, to witness and engage with the local community, observing the intricate art of traditional embroidery.
Enjoy a delicious lunch before setting off on a serene cruise upstream the Mekong River on a traditional long-tail boat. Marvel at the breathtaking mountain vistas and the simple yet captivating rural lifestyles along the riverbanks. In the morning, visit Vat Xiengthong, the most photographed temple nestled at the tip of a peninsula near the confluence of the Mekong and Khan Rivers. Proceed to the former Royal Palace, now transformed into the National Museum. Explore Wat Mai, a temple renowned for its intricate golden bas-reliefs. During Pimai, the Lao New Year, the sacred Prabang, usually housed in the Royal Palace Museum, is displayed to the public in this temple.
Later in the day, journey through lush rice paddies and verdant farms before reaching the enchanting Kuang Si waterfalls. Take a leisurely walk along the falls’ trails to visit the bear rescue center. Be captivated by the intricate beauty of orchids within the park as the falls cascade over numerous calcified tiers, descending hundreds of feet into a series of refreshing turquoise pools.
