Vientiane is the capital of Laos. This city is not bustling, splendid, it is just like a small town. WAT SISAKET
With more than 6,800 large and small Buddha statues, Wat Sisaket – one of the famous tourist attractions in Laos, this place is considered the most impressive temple in the capital Vientiane of Laos. The temple was first built in 1551 and then reconstructed and renovated in 1818. Wat Sisaket is located opposite the Presidential Palace, the temple was built by Chao Anuvong, the last king of the Lan Xang Kingdom, built in the early Bangkok-style architecture mixed with its own unique style. PHA THAT LUANG

The architecture and splendor of this temple represent the splendor of Laos. The temple was built in 1566, on the ruins of an ancient Khmer temple. According to legend, Pha That Luang is where the Buddha’s relics, a strand of hair and many treasures, are kept.
LAO NATIONAL MUSEUM
The Lao National Museum is a typical example of French architecture. Built in 1925, it is still an ideal destination and stores many valuable national treasures. On December 1, 1980, the building was converted into the Lao Revolution Exhibition Hall. In 1985, it was upgraded and converted into the Revolutionary Labor Museum. In early 2000, the new building was opened and became the Lao National Museum. It currently houses 8,000 artifacts nationwide. The collection includes paleontology, archaeology, history and ethnology. The Lao National Museum is an extremely meaningful place for valuable heritages to the history and culture of the Lao people. When coming to the Lao National Museum, you can admire many beautiful scenes as well as very meaningful souvenirs.
PATUXAI
Patuxai is a war monument in Downtown Vientiane, Laos, built between 1957 and 1968. The Patuxai was dedicated to those who fought in the struggle for independence from France. BEST TIME TO VISIT
The best time to visit Vientiane is from November to February, as you’ll experience sunny days and comfortable temperatures. Then it starts to get hotter in March, April and May. You can expect temperatures between 30°C-38°C and high levels of humidity at the start of the wet season in May-June.
